REFRESH x Fantoche, running from September 2 to 6, 2026, is a exhibition exploring the intersection of Arts, Design & Technology. The 5th edition of REFRESH x Fantoche is a longterm partnership between the Department of Design and the Immersive Arts Space of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), and the International Animation Film Festival Fantoche.
The exhibition will feature 18 projects of international artists and alumni of the Department of Design of Zurich of the Arts to envision possible futures and new fields of action for design and the arts. REFRESH x Fantoche 2026 will focus on «Ways into Being», reflecting the impact of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence on society and the planetary well-being. The line up highlights the crucial role of creative practitioners and thinkers engaging critically and responsibly with digital transformation. In guided tours and a public talk visitors can deepen their expertise in the field and are able to engage with the various artists and talents.
