Phono-Luminous Paper
«Phono-Luminous Paper» is a novel material, which produces both light and sound in response to touch. By gently touching the surface of the material, traces of light emerge and the surface resonates with a modulated tone. This device was developed as an exploration of ephemeral materials that have computational qualities. It is made entirely from analogue materials and components, primarily paper and screen printed electronics. The phenomena of light and sound are a product of electroluminescence and electroacoustic transduction.
